German footballers love homeopathy
A survey of the German football league revealed homeopathy was used extensively with good effect by medical officers in the 1st and 2nd divisions.
Ninety-two per cent of teams treated players homeopathically; the therapy was seen as having definite advantages over other treatments.
Doctors and teams used homeopathy because it reduced the stress of exertion, produced faster recovery from injury, didn’t cause harmful side effects, was safe to use with other medical treatments, didn’t produce ‘doping’ infringements, and generally benefited the athletes.
